Moroccan minor dies attempting swim to Ceuta

A minor from Martil tragically lost his life a few days ago while attempting to swim to Ceuta. His funeral was held earlier this week at the Islamic cemetery in Martil. According to local sources, the victim had not shared his intention to attempt the swim with anyone.

The family is still struggling to come to terms with the tragedy, especially since the minor had not been missing for long before they received a call from the police informing them of his death.

There are still missing persons, including Algerians and Moroccans, both adults and minors, who also participated in the crossing attempt in the early hours between Friday and Saturday. No news has been heard from them since.
