Bacha Coffee, Morocco’s iconic coffee brand, is opening its first European salon on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Set to launch in mid-April 2025 at 26 Avenue des Champs-Élysées, the space will blend Moroccan palace-inspired elegance with modern touches.
With a €22 million investment, the salon promises an immersive coffee experience, featuring more than 200 varieties of 100% Arabica coffee from 35 countries, including Ethiopia, Brazil, and Yemen. Guests can explore rare selections like Grand Moka Matari, expertly crafted blends, and flavored coffees tailored for refined palates.
In addition to coffee, Bacha Coffee will offer a curated selection of tasting accessories and gourmet products, perfect for gifting or enhancing the experience.
Following successful openings in Asia (Malaysia, Hong Kong), this Paris debut marks Bacha Coffee’s expansion into Europe, with further locations planned for Tokyo, Macau, and Saudi Arabia by the end of 2025. Setting up on the Champs-Élysées—home to luxury brands like Vuitton—highlights the evolving character of this iconic avenue. The brand already has a presence in Paris with its boutique at the Ritz on Place Vendôme.
Bacha Coffee traces its roots to Marrakech’s historic Dar el Bacha palace, built in 1910 as the residence of Thami El Glaoui, pasha of Marrakech. Over the years, it welcomed legendary figures such as Colette, Maurice Ravel, Charlie Chaplin, Joséphine Baker, Franklin Roosevelt, and Winston Churchill, who gathered there to enjoy its famous «coffee of Arabia», now known as Arabica coffee.
The palace remained closed for nearly 60 years after World War II but was restored and reopened in 2017 as the Musée des Confluences. Alongside its museum, the space now features a Bacha Coffee salon, reviving its long-standing tradition of exceptional coffee.
