King Mohammed VI will perform the Eid Al-Fitr prayer on Monday, March 31, 2025, corresponding to the 1st of Shawwal 1446 in the Islamic calendar, at the Ahl Fes Mosque in the Mechouar of Rabat, as announced by the Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol, and Chancellery in a statement.
The ceremony will be broadcast live starting at 10:30 AM on national television channels and radio stations.
It is worth noting that the Sovereign presided over a religious vigil on Thursday, March 27, at the Royal Palace of Rabat, in commemoration of Laylat Al-Qadr. Due to the aftermath of his shoulder surgery, he had to adjust some of his religious activities during this sacred month. In accordance with Islamic prescriptions, he performed the Al-Isha prayer and the Tarawih prayers while seated.
The Royal Cabinet had announced in December that the King had successfully undergone surgery following a shoulder injury sustained during a routine sports activity. This recovery period explains the adjustment to his religious program during Ramadan, notably marked by the absence of the traditional Hassanian lectures this year.
