On Saturday night, police in Tangier arrested a suspect in connection with a hit-and-run accident and reckless driving that endangered public safety, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The arrest followed the circulation of a video on social media showing the suspect driving dangerously in the heart of Tangier. Investigations confirmed that the individual was involved in a traffic accident that caused property damage before fleeing the scene, as seen in the footage.
The suspect was quickly identified and taken into custody, and his vehicle was seized and impounded as part of the ongoing investigation. He remains in custody pending further judicial proceedings.
