Children from the Tindouf camps, sent to Spain by the Polisario as part of the «Holidays in Peace» program, visited the Spanish Congress of Deputies on Wednesday, July 16. The visit was announced on X by Deputy Enrique Santiago, who also serves as Secretary General of the Communist Party.

A welcoming ceremony was held for the «little Sahrawi ambassadors», attended by several MPs, including members of the People's Party. However, the event was boycotted by Socialist Party (PSOE) representatives, as well as members of the far-right Vox party. Yolanda Diaz, Minister of Labor and Economy and leader of Sumar, was also present.

It’s worth noting that PSOE members in both chambers of the Spanish Parliament have voted against all non-binding resolutions submitted by Sumar, Podemos, the People's Party, and Catalan and Basque parties. These motions were aimed at condemning Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez’s support for Morocco’s autonomy plan for Western Sahara. Vox representatives, for their part, chose to abstain.
