On the occasion of the anniversary of the King and People's Revolution, King Mohammed VI has extended royal clemency to 881 individuals. This includes 676 currently incarcerated and 205 who are not in custody, all previously sentenced by various Moroccan courts, according to a statement from the Ministry of Justice.
The breakdown of the 881 beneficiaries of this royal pardon is as follows:
* For those currently imprisoned, 676 have received clemency, with details as follows:
- Complete pardon of the remaining prison term or detention for 9 prisoners.
- Reduction of the prison term or detention for 667 prisoners.
* For those who are free, 205 individuals have been granted clemency, detailed as follows:
- Complete pardon of the prison sentence or its remainder for 38 individuals.
- Pardon of the prison sentence while the fine remains for 10 individuals.
- Pardon of the fine for 142 individuals.
- Pardon of both the prison sentence and the fine for 13 individuals.
- Pardon of the fine and the remainder of the prison sentence for 2 individuals.
