Generation Z is rallying to demand a public healthcare system that truly serves all Moroccans. This call to action resonates with the protests from a few weeks ago, which have now evolved into a powerful youth-led movement. In response to this pressing issue, the Minister of Health has unveiled measures to address the protesters' concerns.

«The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Mr. Amine Tahraoui, announced the appointment of 543 specialist doctors who will soon be joining the country's hospitals», stated the government, headed by Aziz Akhannouch, on October 5.

«These doctors will cover a range of specialties, including cardiology, pediatrics, orthopedics, and ophthalmology. This initiative aims to bolster human resources, enhance the quality of healthcare services, and ensure they are more accessible to citizens throughout the Kingdom».

During his address on October 1 to the Commission of Productive Sectors of the House of Representatives, Minister Tahraoui, a member of the RNI, expressed his satisfaction with «the appointment of 1,200 specialist doctors in 2025, marking a significant improvement compared to previous years». He highlighted that «the number of specialist doctors recruited in the public sector did not exceed 179 in 2020, 175 in 2021, 347 in 2022, 314 in 2023, and 223 in 2024».
