Morocco, France and the UK lead AFCON 2025 ticket purchases

The countries from which fans have purchased the most tickets for Africa Cup of Nations matches, set to take place in Morocco in the coming days, were revealed on Tuesday in Rabat by CAF Secretary-General Véron Mosengo-Omba.

Morocco tops the list, followed by France and the United Kingdom. Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Canada, Switzerland, Tunisia, and the United States complete the ranking, pointing to sustained international interest in the tournament.

Commenting on the figures, Mosengo-Omba said the upcoming edition is already breaking records in terms of ticket sales. He recalled that the previous AFCON, held in Ivory Coast, generated around $11 million in ticket revenue, adding that this figure has already been surpassed. «I can’t give you the exact number yet because sales are still ongoing», he said.

The Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to kick off on December 21 in Rabat, with an opening match between Morocco and Comoros.
