Following the publication of the information by AfricaIntelligence and its subsequent coverage by Yabiladi, the Moroccan embassy in Paris has formally denied any intention to sell the Betz castle.
King Mohammed VI is rumored to have decided to put his castle located in Betz, in the Oise region, about 70 kilometers from Paris, up for sale. According to Africa Intelligence, the Moroccan monarch has reportedly initiated the process of selling this property. This decision is part of a broader reorganization of his real estate assets in France. The information was also relayed the same day by another French media outlet.

As early as January, a French-language news site had mentioned a "reorganization of the king's real estate holdings" in France, citing the sale of several villas and castles.

Acquired several years ago, the Betz estate served as a private residence during the king's stays in France. Its sale comes at a time when the management and valuation of large-scale real estate holdings are increasingly under scrutiny. However, no details have been disclosed regarding the expected transaction amount or the precise timeline for the sale.
