Rabat will host the «Morocco Breeders Show – Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup (EAHGC) 2026» on May 9 and 10 at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan National Horse Institute in Dar Essalam, bringing together nearly 200 horses and 50 breeders in a celebration of Morocco’s Arabian horse breeding excellence.
Organized by Société Royale d’Encouragement du Cheval (SOREC) in partnership with the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS) and the Royal Moroccan Association of Arabian Thoroughbred Breeders, the event marks the third stop of an international seven-stage circuit held under the patronage of Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reads a press release.
After Australia and Bahrain, the competition arrives in Morocco before continuing to other continents. In line with the philosophy of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup, the event highlights horses born and bred in the host country.
Elite horses will be judged by an international panel from Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Oman, and Germany, with six championships set to reward more than 60 horses.
SOREC Director General Omar Skalli described the event as «a unique opportunity» for Moroccan Arabian horse breeders to showcase their expertise and promote the Kingdom’s elite horses internationally.
Beyond the competition, the 2026 edition will also feature activities for the general public, including a children’s village and a food court aimed at creating a festive atmosphere for families and horse enthusiasts.
