Strong wind gusts and snowfall expected from Thursday to Saturday in Morocco

Strong wind gusts accompanied by blowing dust, as well as snowfall, are expected from Thursday to Saturday in several provinces across Morocco, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).

In an orange-level weather alert bulletin, the DGM said strong winds ranging between 70 and 85 km/h, accompanied by blowing dust, are expected on Thursday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the province of Figuig.

The agency also forecast snowfall of between 10 and 25 cm above 2,000 meters from Friday at 6 p.m. until Saturday at 3 p.m. in the provinces of Ouarzazate, Azilal, Midelt, Tinghir, Taroudant and Al Haouz.
