The Moroccan racing driver, Mehdi Bennani, achieved on Sunday 9th April good results with a third-place finish in the world touring car championship race organized at Moulay El Hassan street circuit in Marrakech.
Bennani made it through in Marrakech with his Citroen finishing third and led by the Argentinean driver Esteban Guerrieri who came first. The second place was obtained by the Swedish Thed Bjork followed by the Dutch Nicky Catsburg who arrived fourth winning over Tiago Monteiro who was in the fifth place.
Speaking at a press conference held after the race, the 34 year old driver said that he was satisfied with his performance at the race which represents a good start for the 2017 season.
The 8th edition of WTCC 2017 which took place from 7th to 8th April, according to the FIA calendar marked the beginning of the 2017 season which will have 10 other meetings in Italy, Hungary, Germany, Portugal, Argentina, China, Japan, Macau Island, and Qatar.
