The Moroccan Association for Human Rights in Rabat (AMDH-Rabat) reported on Tuesday 30th of May that the mass hunger staged by 22 trainee teachers was suspended. «Due to the serious health conditions of trainee teachers who went on a hunger strike, the recklessness of the Ministry of Education [and] the pressure exerted by the teachers' support (including the AMDH), they agreed to suspend The hunger strike», tweeted AMDH Rabat.

The same source has published a communiqué issued by the trainee teachers, reminding that their huger strike started on Tuesday the 23rd of May at the AMDH headquarters in Rabat.«The number of people sent to the hospital following this strike exceeded. Nine trainees have experienced several complications», the statement said.
The AMDH also reports the establishment of a committee that works on supporting the protesters on Friday 26th of May, gathering 30 associations, human rights NGOs and 16 public figures. The statement also focuses on the national march that will take place on Sunday 4th of June in Rabat to continue the protest so that the government respects put into practice its commitments which are namely recruiting the 2015-2016 class graduated from the Regional Centers of the trades of education And training (CRMEF).
The National Coordination of Trainee Teachers calls for the re-opening of a constructive dialogue with the El Othmani’s government. There are 150 trainee teachers who have been dismissed in disregard of the agreement reached last April by the executive and the trainee teachers.
The Moroccan Association for Human Rights has blown the whistle on the 27th of May reporting that two trainee teachers who are on a hunger strike were sent to the hospital.
