ENI to secure the Rabat Deep Offshore well

ENI, an Italian multinational oil and gas company headquartered in Roma and the operator of the Rabat Deep Offshore license has reportedly «secured the Saipem 12000, a sixth generation ultra-deepwater drillship, for a drilling programme to include a one-well drilling slot in Rabat Deep Offshore in Morocco», as indicated by Your Oil and Gas News, a news website focusing on industry.

The same source indicates that ENI is «currently anticipated that the rig will arrive on location in the latter part of Q1 2018 and that the drilling of the RD-1 well on the JP-1 prospect will commence shortly».

ENI is one of the operators of Rabat Deep Offshore license, possessing 40 percent of interests, while its partners Woodside, ONHYL and Chariot have 25, 25 and 10 percent respectively.
