Two new direct flights are created to link Morocco and Hungary starting from October the 30th, the director of the National Tourist Board (ONMT), Abderrafie Zouitene, said on Thursday 12th of October in Rabat.

«Starting from October the 30th, two airlines, Ryanair and Wizz air, will launch their direct routes to connect Morocco and Hungary, from Budapest to Marrakech and from Budapest to Agadir», Zouitene said in a press conference after meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary in Morocco, Miklos Tromler.

He said an advertizing campaign will be set to support these flights, including the holding of a conference in Marrakech and Agadir in April 2018.

For his part, Tromler said that there are «about 5,000 Hungarian and Moroccan tourists traveling to the two destination», hoping that this number will reach 30,000 Hungarian tourists in 2018.

Tromler also expressed his country's desire to strengthen Moroccan-Hungarian tourism cooperation in the future by creating more routes to other Moroccan cities such as Tangier, Fes and Dakhla.
