Italy : A Moroccan suicidal father sets fire to his apartment

A 49-year-old Moroccan national and father to four children have committed suicide in a tragic incident, on Friday. According to Milano Corriere, a local online newspaper, the father who lives in San Fermo della Battaglia, a commune in Lombardy region, set his apartment to fire.

Desperately, the Moroccan national locked himself inside with his four children ( a boy and three girls)and set the place ablaze. The same source indicates that the man and three of his kids were found dead. The Italian online newspaper, explains that he was desperate as he lost his job and his wife was hospitalized for depression.

Fire fighters, managed to save the fourth child who was transferred to the hospital. The family, as reported, was very poor and the father was unable to secure a living and feed his kids. Even the apartment they lived in was owned by a charitable foundation that helps needy families.

The police in Como said that an investigation was opened to determine the circumstances of the fire. Meanwhile, the commander of the fire brigade, Luigi Guidici insists that it was arson.
