As every year, members of the Ben Barka family, his relatives and human rights activists gathered in front of the Lipp brasserie in Paris, where the kidnapping of third-world activist Mehdi Ben Barka took place on the 29 October 1965.

On Sunday and in a Facebook post Ben Barka’s son Bachir urged the public opinion «to continue fighting for truth and justice for the victims of enforced disappearance», demanding that «all the light should be shed on the kidnapping and the disappearance of his father».

The third-world activist's son also denounced «the complicity of the two Moroccan and French states that continue to use and abuse the notion of reason of state and the secrets that accompany it».

Bachir Ben Barka saluted the attempts of the families of the disappeared, such as the sit-in organized in Casablanca and the national march for the truth which took place to denounce enforced dissappearance, on October 15th.

He also encouraged the demands of Riffians, who have received «international support», and condemned the arrests of political detainees.
