The Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ) dismantled on Wednesday, 21st of February, a six-member terrorist cell affiliated to «ISIS» and which is located in the city of Tangier, the Interior Ministry said in a statement sent to Yabiladi earlier this morning.
The first elements of the investigation revealed that members of the cell, led by an individual who has been convicted in the past for terrorism, are involved in assaulting several people in Detroit city, using knives, and sticks, the Ministry said.
The investigation showed that the arrested individuals, aged between 22 and 42 years old, have links with the terrorist network that supports «ISIS» and which was dismantled on 01/02/2018 in Tangier and Meknes, and which was planning to carry attacks in the Kingdom, the ministry added.
The BCIJ seized, during the raid, knives of various sizes, a metal chain, military trousers and electronic equipments, concluded the statement.
