Qatari Prime Minister in Rabat to chair the 7th session of a Joint Commission

The Qatari Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Abdallah bin Nasser bin Nasse bin Khalifa Al Thani arrived Sunday in Morocco for a working visit during which he will co-chair alongside his Moroccan counterpart, Saadeddine El Othmani the 7th session of the of the High Joint Commission of the Moroccan-Qatari Cooperation.

The 6th session of this major Moroccan-Qatari event was held in Doha in March 2016.

For the record, the last official mission carried out by Abdelilah Benkirane before his dismissal by King Mohammed VI was a visit to Qatar in March 2017. Discussions between the former Prime Minister and Emir Tamim had focused on the revival of Qatari investments in the kingdom.

In November of the same year, King Mohammed VI went to Doha where Tamim gave him a warm welcome.

Morocco supports Qatar in its open crisis with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
