Teknia Group, a Spanish company in the industry of automotive technologies, has opened a new production plant in Tangier, which replaces its previous facilities in the region, opened in 2010, said the manufacturer in a statement quoted by Europa Press.

Teknia has thus inaugurated a 2,700-square-meter factory in the Tangiers free zone, with the aim of providing better services to its customers and increasing the plastic injection and assembly capacity of auto parts.

This new facility adds to those already operating in seven Spanish cities, including Bilbao (north), Barcelona, Elorrio (north), Martos (south) and Pedrola (north-east). It also consolidates the group's international presence through its production sites in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Poland, the Czech Republic, Serbia and Turkey.

«The new Tangier plant reaffirms Teknia's commitment to the international market in accordance with our core principles of specialization, technological strength, proximity and close collaboration with our customers internationally,» said the Executive Chairman of the group, Javier Quesada.

The construction of the facility started in January 2017, and was finalized last October.
