Two days after Morocco announced that it is cutting diplomatic ties with Iran, Kuwait has chosen to react through an «anonymous source» within its Foreign Ministry.
«Kuwait denounces and rejects attempts targeting Morocco’s stability, integrity and sovereignty», reported KUNA in an article issued Thursday.
The same source says it supports all measures taken by Morocco defending its «security and stability».
The Gulf Cooperation Council of which Kuwait is a member, backed on Wednesday the Moroccan decision.
For the record, Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita announced on Tuesday that Morocco has proof stressing that Hezbollah, a Lebanese Shiite organization backed by Iran, provides military support for the Polisario Front militants.
