Traveling the world in her self-built camper van, German vlogger Susi Cruzz had a disastrous experience in Morocco. In a video she shared on her Youtube channel, on 1st of June, the young girl spoke about how uncomfortable she felt while in the North African Kingdom.
In her account, Susi who is also known on the internet as the girl who makes videos on her «Van Life», said she was harassed, and stolen when trying to discover the northern region of the country. «My wallet was stolen, I have no driving license, no money and no credit card», she told the camera while sitting in her van.
While in Chefchaouen, the tourist was chocked by how men in the city looked at her and catcalled her. «There were so many guys in the streets and in cafés making noises (catcalling on me) as if I was a dog», she said before bursting in tears.
Although she was dressed in a respectful outfit, wearing a long shirt and long pants, Susi couldn’t take it anymore and took herself to a corner where she started crying. A local guy saw her there, and offered to help her, but unfortunately, things did not end as she expected.
«He was friendly and told me to cheer up, before inviting me to his shop where he made me tea and was really nice», she recalled. After spending hours talking to the guy at his place, he offered to show her a safe spot where she can park her van and spend the night.
Once in her van, the guy did not want to leave and was overly insisting to stay with her. Things started to get creepy and weird when the guy told Susi that he wants to be her boyfriend. He even asked her for money because he helped her all day.
Creeped out by his behavior, she looked for her wallet to give him money but did not find it. «When I did not find my wallet, he accused me of lying to him… my phone was ringing and he turned it off», she said while crying.
It was almost 4 am when Susi finally managed to get out of the situation as the man left her van to get a cigarette. She locked the doors and drove back to Spain freaked out by what happened to her.
«I don’t want to say that Morocco is a bad place but for me it was hard to get through this», she concluded.
