2030 World Cup : The final decision has not been made yet

Morocco has not made a decision yet on the project proposed by Spain for the submitting of a joint-bid with Portugal to host the 2030 World Cup, said EFE on Friday.

The information was announced by the government’s spokesperson, Mustapha El Khalfi, who said that «when a decision is made, Morocco will announce it».

For the record, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has shared the idea of submitting a joint-bid with Morocco and Portugal for the hosting of the 2030 World Cup with King Mohammed VI, he told reporters earlier this week while visiting Rabat.

«This proposal is a message much stronger than the shared passion for football in the three countries, it is a strong message because it would unite for the first time two continents», said the head of the Spanish government.

The king «appreciated the idea», he said, adding that the idea was also suggested to the Portuguese government.
