El Jadida : Four sub-Saharan nationals arrested for online fraud and extortion

Police arrested on Saturday, December the 15th, four sub-Saharan nationals for their alleged involvement in online fraud and extortion in El Jadida.

The first findings of the investigation revealed that the four men shared obscene content on the internet with a German national, before blackmailing him, said the police in a communiqué.

The four suspects made the victim give them 18,000 euros, before they were identified by the police.

The search conducted by the security services in a house occupied by the defendants resulted in the seizure of computer equipment, electronic storage media and mobile phones, in addition to receipts for money transfers extorted from the German victim. The suspects were placed in custody, concluded the same source.
