Senegalese president Macky Sall said, on Saturday in Dakar, that special relations were forged between Morocco and Senegal and that they have continued growing stronger.
«Special relations were forged between the Kingdom of Morocco and Senegal, well before our independence and have continued growing stronger», said the Senegalese head of state, at a reception organized at the residence of Sheikh Mohammad Al Madani Tall, a disciple of the Omari Hadra, ahead of the official ceremony of the 39th edition of the «Annual Ziara» of the Omarian Tijans of Senegal.
The Moroccan delegation, led by Ahmed Kostass, Director of Islamic Affairs at the Ministry of Endowment and Islamic Affairs, and composed of the Kingdom's ambassador to Senegal Taleb Barrada, Abdellatif Begdouri Achqari, representative of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema and Abdelmajid Mouhib, president of the El Jadida Local Council of Ulema, was warmly received.
«I would like to ask you to be my interpreter to HM King Mohammed VI, who is a friend of Senegal, to convey to him all our gratitude and thanks», he told the Moroccan delegation which took part in this ceremony.
«The relations that I have with HM King Mohammed VI are marked by cordiality, mutual esteem and friendship», he said, expressing his determination to ensure the durability of these special relations between Morocco and Senegal.
