Morocco’s Ziyech and Mazraoui observe Ramadan during Ajax's Champions League game

Morocco’s Hakim Ziyech, Noussair Mazraoui, who currently play for Dutch club AFC Ajax, observed Ramadan, Wednesday, as they were playing at their Champions League semi-final second leg clash against Tottenham.

During the game, Ziyech and Mazraoui were seen breaking fast in the 24th minute of the match, Sport Bible reported.

«They refueled and continued the game with Ziyech scoring just 11 minutes after taking in food and water», the same source said.

According to France 24, the two Ajax players insisted on fasting on Wednesday. Dutch media reported that Ajax Amsterdam coach Erik Ten Hag did not put pressure on the Moroccan footballers and allowed them to take their own decision.
