They come from a migrant detention facility for minors in Melilla to audition for the fifth season of Spain’s Got Talent with a heavy heart. Born in Morocco and abandoned in Spain, fourteen unaccompanied minor migrants won the heart of the jury that listened to their story and watched their emotional performance.

In a video shared Monday, these Moroccan minors told their ordeal through a dance. «We came from Melilla (…) these are minors who live in a detention center in the city», their coach told the jury.

With tears in her eyes, she said that «they are abandoned». «They used to live in Morocco with their families, who were forced to abandon their kids near the borders», she explained.

Some of these minors crossed the borders on their own, to seek a better life. «They are faced with many difficulties, including the language barrier (…) and bullying», recalled the instructor. When they come to Melilla, they go to the police that transfer them to detention centers, she added.

Despite all hardships, the young dancers are trying to start a new life. Their performance was a way to portray their difficult situation in an artsy way. Amazed by their stories, the jury granted them the golden buzz, giving them a chance to compete in the competition.

In a very emotional scene, members of the jury run to the stage to hug some of them and congratulate them for their amazing performance.
