Eight new confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded this afternoon, the health authorities said, adding that the total Covid-19 infections in Morocco has reached 74.
The eight new cases are located in Meknes (6), Salé (1), and Kenitra (1), the health authorities indicated.
Earlier today, the number of confirmed coronavirus stood at 66, with one new recorded coronavirus-related death announced the same day.
The deceased patient is a 39-year-old man who came from abroad, a well-informed source told Yabiladi. «However, his health condition was not life-threatening before it suddenly deteriorated last night», the same source said, adding that «he did not suffer from a chronic illness».
It is worth mentioning that two other confirmed coronavirus cases died. The first coronavirus-related death is that of an 89-year-old Moroccan woman in Casablanca and the second is a 75-year-old man from Salé.
