Morocco : Five new coronavirus cases discovered at Renault's Tangier plant

Renault Maroc, the French company’s Morocco section, announced, Monday, that five of its employees in Tangier have tested positive for the coronavirus, local newspaper Tanger24 reported, quoting a press release from the firm.

The same source indicates that 1,205 coronavirus tests were carried out, including 150 ones undertaken on Saturday. The group is still awaiting the results of two other suspected cases.

The company assured that in full cooperation with health and public authorities, all necessary preventive measures have been taken to protect all employees. It also indicated that workplaces have been disinfected.

For the record, activities in the two Renault-Maroc factories, in Casablanca and Tangier, have gradually resumed since April 27.
