161 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 16,097.
508 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total of recovered patients to 13,424.
Two deaths were recorded during the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 257. Morocco currently has 2,398 active cases.
Most of the new cases were recorded in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceïma, with 66 in Tangier, six in Tetouan and 3 in Al Fahs Anjra.
Casablanca-Settat had 37 new cases : 31 cases in Casablanca, five in Mohammedia and one in Nouaceur. 28 new cases were confirmed in Marrakech-Safi : 20 in El Haouz, 5 cases in Marrakech and three in Safi.
In Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 13 new infections were identified : 3 cases in Sidi Kacem, 3 in Salé, 3 in Kénitra, two in Rabat, one in Khmissat and one case in Salé.
Three new cases have been reported in Fez-Meknès, 2 in Fez and one in Meknès. Two cases were found in Oujda and one in Jerada.
One case was detected in Errachidia (Drâa-Tafilalet) and another one in Tan Tan (Guelmim-Oued Noun).
