A group of Hirak detainees is on the list of inmates granted royal pardon, Wednesday, on the eve of the Throne Day. Speaking to Yabiladi, Hirak detainees lawyer Mohamed Aghanaj confirmed that «several Hirak detainees, including those held at the Tangier prison, were granted royal pardon».
He said that Mohamed Mejaoui and Habib Hannoudi are on the list, while «other families are still waiting» for other names.
For her part, lawyer Asmaa El Ouadie said that she has not received the names of the detainees who will be released. «The daughter of detainee Mohammed Jalloul confirmed that all Hirak detainees in the Tangier prison have been released, except for her father», the lawyer said.
For his part, Brahim Iamrachen, the brother of El Mortada Iamrachen published on his Facebook page a photo of him and his brother, in front of prison, announcing his release.
For the record, 1,446 detainees were granted royal pardon, Wednesday. According to Kifach, 20 Hirak detainees are part of the list. The latter reportedly includes Ilyas Hajji, Achraf El Yakhloufi, Mohamed Mejjaoui, Rabii Al Ablak, Chaker Makhrout, Houcine Idrissi, Habib Hannoudi and Mohamed Assrihi.
