The Moroccan consulate in Valencia confirmed that seven Moroccans have died and eight remain missing due to the floods in Spain’s Valencia province. Morocco has sent rescue teams and equipment to assist in relief efforts, which have been positively received by both the Moroccan community and Spanish authorities.
A Moroccan resident of the town of Riba Roja, within the consular district of Valencia, lost his life due to the floods that hit southeastern Spain on Tuesday. Two other members of the Moroccan community were injured, while approximately 20 individuals are currently reported missing.
