In 1969, Morocco and the Netherlands signed a bilateral treaty for the recruitment of guest workers. Through a moving exhibition, the Moroccan community in Holland celebrates the fights and achievements of these guest workers, who did not return home.
In its seventh edition, the 2019 World Happiness report revealed that Moroccans are getting less cheerful. Released on the International Day of Happiness, the report ranks the Kingdom 89th after it was 85th last year.
According to a report compiled by Dutch governmental institution Statistics Netherlands, Moroccan-Dutch people are the most to offer informal help to others when in need. Moroccans do more volunteering than other non-Western groups in the country.
