Pressured by Washington, the UN to examine peacekeeping missions including MINURSO

At the end of the December 22nd meeting held at the UN General Assembly, Washington promised to scrutinize all UN peacekeeping missions. This examination is part of the UN's January programme.

Two weeks before the Security Council adopted Resolution 2414, the Polisario sent a delegation to Russia. The Front’s representatives have been in Moscow since yesterday to defend their stance before the meeting on Western Sahara.

The Western Sahara question will be soon discussed at the Un Security Council. In October, Antonio Guterres will be presenting his report on the conflict and the US will be revealing its position on the MINURSO.

Sahara : Morocco and Algeria mobilize their lobbyists in the United States

In the next twenty-four hours the United States will host two forums on the Sahara. The first event is initiated by an American university lecturer close to Morocco while the other one is conducted by a supporter of Algeria and the Polisario.
