Morocco has been able to establish a very ambitious climate agenda in the last couple of years. However, the country’s plans are faced with a series of challenges that could be avoided, according to a Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy’s study.
Morocco is the second best-performing country, in the Climate Performance Index, ranking fifth. The policies and projects implemented by the Kingdom were welcomed by the report, conducted by GermanWatch, NewClimate and Climate Action Network.
In a new study, published Monday, researchers urge Mediterranean countries to scientifically address the worrying effects of climate change in the region.
