In his 67th anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People speech, King Mohammed VI addressed the rising numbers of Covid-19 infections and deaths in the Kingdom. He warned against a possible new lockdown in case preventive measures are not respected.
The new coronavirus and the strict measures implemented by several countries have brought changes to the «international migration order». The situation was observed in Morocco, where hundreds of foreigners were stranded after Moroccan authorities closed the country’s borders.
Presiding the opening of the parliament’s first session for this year, King Mohammed VI urged banks and financial institutions to provide more loans for young graduates and entrepreneurs.
As in his August 2018 speech, King Mohammed VI stressed the importance of vocational training. «What matters the most is to overcome the obstacles impeding the achievement of high economic growth rates that contribute to prosperity in society», the sovereign said.
King Mohammed VI sent a message on Monday to the intergovernmental conference on the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration. For the Sovereign, migration has always been an important question for Morocco.
Commemorating the 43rd anniversary of the Green March, King Mohammed VI called on Algeria to join the creation of «a political mechanism for dialogue and consultation». For Minister delegate in charge of African Cooperation Mohcine Jazouli, the neighboring country «must reply favorably» to the royal proposition.
