Thousands of Moroccans living abroad (dual nationals or not) found themselves stranded in Morocco amid the lockdown. Some of them were unable to return to the countries where they live due to an alleged blockage by the Moroccan authorities.
Hundreds of Moroccans are currently awaiting repatriation as they found themselves stranded in the UK. Sick, distressed and running out of resources, these Moroccan nationals are desperately trying to leave the country and get home as soon as possible.
According to Israeli Army radio, Morocco would have reportedly refused to repatriate Israeli nationals stranded in the Kingdom. Quoted by Israeli media, the same source explains that Morocco’s opposition to the plan would be due to Emirati intervention.
In a meeting with MPs at the House of Representatives, the Minister in charge of Moroccans Living Abroad asked nationals stranded in other countries and awaiting repatriation to «be patient».
