20.66.قَالَ بَلْ أَلْقُوا فَإِذَا حِبَالُهُمْ وَعِصِيُّهُمْ يُخَيَّلُ إِلَيْهِ مِن سِحْرِهِمْ أَنَّهَا تَسْعَى

20.66. – «Allez-y, vous, les premiers !», répondit Moïse. Et aussitôt il lui sembla que leurs cordes et leurs bâtons, sous l'effet de leur magie, rampaient réellement !

20.66 . He said : Nay , do ye throw! Then Lo! their cords and their staves , by their magic , appeared to him as though they ran .

20.66. Qala bal alqoo fa-itha hibaluhum waAAisiyyuhum yukhayyalu ilayhi min sihrihim annaha tasAAa

20.67.فَأَوْجَسَ فِي نَفْسِهِ خِيفَةً مُّوسَى

20.67. Moïse en éprouva alors une crainte secrète.

20.67 . And Moses conceived a fear in his mind

20.67. Faawjasa fee nafsihi kheefatan moosa

20.68.قُلْنَا لَا تَخَفْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْأَعْلَى

20.68. «N'aie pas peur, lui dîmes-Nous, c'est toi qui triompheras !

20.68 . We said : Fear not! Lo! thou art the higher .

20.68. Qulna la takhaf innaka anta al-aAAla

20.69.وَأَلْقِ مَا فِي يَمِينِكَ تَلْقَفْ مَا صَنَعُوا إِنَّمَا صَنَعُوا كَيْدُ سَاحِرٍ وَلَا يُفْلِحُ السَّاحِرُ حَيْثُ أَتَى

20.69. Jette le bâton qui est dans ta main droite ! Il dévorera leurs artifices, car leurs artifices ne sont que des tours de charlatan. Or, jamais le charlatan ne réussira, où qu'il soit !»

20.69 . Throw that which is in thy right hand! It will eat up that which they have made . Lo! that which they have made but a wizards artifice , and a wizard shall not be successful to whatever point ( of skill ) he may attain .

20.69. Waalqi ma fee yameenika talqaf ma sanaAAoo innama sanaAAoo kaydu sahirin wala yuflihu alssahiru haythu ata

20.70.فَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سُجَّداً قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ هَارُونَ وَمُوسَى

20.70. Les magiciens se prosternèrent alors face au sol en disant : «Nous croyons au Seigneur d'Aaron et de Moïse !»

20.70 . Then the wizards were ( all ) flung down prostrate , crying : We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses .

20.70. Faolqiya alssaharatu sujjadan qaloo amanna birabbi haroona wamoosa
