20.51.قَالَ فَمَا بَالُ الْقُرُونِ الْأُولَى

20.51. – «Qu'en est-il alors des premières générations?», demanda Pharaon.

20.51 . He said : What then is the state of the generations of old?

20.51. Qala fama balu alqurooni al-oola

20.52.قَالَ عِلْمُهَا عِندَ رَبِّي فِي كِتَابٍ لَّا يَضِلُّ رَبِّي وَلَا يَنسَى

20.52. – «La connaissance de leur sort, dit Moïse, est inscrite dans un livre auprès de mon Seigneur qui n'est sujet ni à l'oubli ni à l'erreur,

20.52 . He said : The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record . My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth ,

20.52. Qala AAilmuha AAinda rabbee fee kitabin la yadillu rabbee wala yansa

20.53.الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ مَهْداً وَسَلَكَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلاً وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجاً مِّن نَّبَاتٍ شَتَّى

20.53. qui a fait pour vous de la terre un berceau, y a tracé des chemins à votre intention, et qui fait tomber une eau du ciel.» Et c'est par cette eau que Nous faisons éclore des couples de plantes variées

20.53 . Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation ,

20.53. Allathee jaAAala lakumu al-arda mahdan wasalaka lakum feeha subulan waanzala mina alssama-i maan faakhrajna bihi azwajan min nabatin shatta

20.54.كُلُوا وَارْعَوْا أَنْعَامَكُمْ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّأُوْلِي النُّهَى

20.54. en disant aux gens : «Mangez-en et faites paître vos troupeaux !» Il y a là des signes certains pour des gens doués d'intelligence.

20.54 . ( Saying ) : Eat ye and feed your cattle . Lo! herein verily are portents for men of thought .

20.54. Kuloo wairAAaw anAAamakum inna fee thalika laayatin li-olee alnnuha

20.55.مِنْهَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ وَفِيهَا نُعِيدُكُمْ وَمِنْهَا نُخْرِجُكُمْ تَارَةً أُخْرَى

20.55. Et c'est de la terre que Nous vous avons créés , c'est à elle que Nous vous ferons retourner et c'est d'elle que Nous vous ferons à nouveau surgir.

20.55 . Thereof We created you , and thereunto we return you and thence We bring you forth a second time .
