23.81.بَلْ قَالُوا مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ الْأَوَّلُونَ

23.81. Hélas ! Ils continuent à ressasser les mêmes propos que leurs devanciers.

23.81 . Nay , but they say the like of that which said the men of old ;

23.81. Bal qaloo mithla ma qala al-awwaloona

23.82.قَالُوا أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَاباً وَعِظَاماً أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ

23.82. «Quoi? Une fois morts, disent-ils, et réduits en os et en poussière, serons-nous ressuscités?

23.82 . They say : When we are dead and have become ( mere dust and bones , shall we then , forsooth , be raised again?

23.82. Qaloo a-itha mitna wakunna turaban waAAithaman a-inna lamabAAoothoona

23.83.لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَآبَاؤُنَا هَذَا مِن قَبْلُ إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ

23.83. C'est ce qui nous a été promis, auparavant, à nous et à nos ancêtres. Ce ne sont là que des fables anciennes !»

23.83 . We were already promised this , we and our forefathcrs . Lo! this is naught but fables of the men of old .

23.83. Laqad wuAAidna nahnu waabaona hatha min qablu in hatha illa asateeru al-awwaleena

23.84.قُل لِّمَنِ الْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهَا إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

23.84. Demande-leur : «À qui appartiennent la Terre et ceux qui y vivent? Dites-le, si vous le savez !»

23.84 . Say : Unto Whom ( belongeth ) the earth and whosoever is therein , if ye have knowledge?

23.84. Qul limani al-ardu waman feeha in kuntum taAAlamoona

23.85.سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

23.85. – «Ils appartiennent à Dieu», répondront-ils. Dis-leur alors : «Que ne pouvez-vous donc vous en souvenir?»

23.85 . They will say : Unto Allah . Say : Will ye not then remember?

23.85. Sayaqooloona lillahi qul afala tathakkaroona
