26.111.قَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَاتَّبَعَكَ الْأَرْذَلُونَ

26.111. – «Allons-nous te croire, répondirent-ils, alors que tu n'as été suivi que par la lie du peuple?»

26.111 . They said : Shall we put faith in thee , when the lowest ( of the people ) follow thee?

26.111. Qaloo anu/minu laka waittabaAAaka al-arthaloona

26.112.قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِي بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

26.112. – «Pouvais-je savoir, dit Noé, ce que ces gens faisaient auparavant?

26.112 . He said : And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing ( in the past ) ?

26.112. Qala wama AAilmee bima kanoo yaAAmaloona

26.113.إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَى رَبِّي لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ

26.113. Ils n'ont de compte à rendre qu'à Dieu. Pourriez-vous le comprendre?

26.113 . Lo! their reckoning is my Lord ' s concern , if ye but knew ;

26.113. In hisabuhum illa AAala rabbee law tashAAuroona

26.114.وَمَا أَنَا بِطَارِدِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

26.114. De plus, ce n'est pas moi qui repousserais les croyants,

26.114 . And I am not ( here ) to repulse believers .

26.114. Wama ana bitaridi almu/mineena

26.115.إِنْ أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ

26.115. n'étant moi-même qu'un avertisseur chargé de transmettre clairement le message.»

26.115 . I am only a plain warner .
