43.31.وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ هَذَا الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِّنَ الْقَرْيَتَيْنِ عَظِيمٍ

43.31. Puis ils ajoutèrent : «Pourquoi n'a-t-on pas révélé ce Coran à quelque personnage important de l'une ou l'autre des deux villes?»

43.31 . And they say : If only thin Quran had been revealed to some great man of the two towns?

43.31. Waqaloo lawla nuzzila hatha alqur-anu AAala rajulin mina alqaryatayni AAatheemun

43.32.أَهُمْ يَقْسِمُونَ رَحْمَةَ رَبِّكَ نَحْنُ قَسَمْنَا بَيْنَهُم مَّعِيشَتَهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَرَفَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ دَرَجَاتٍ لِيَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُهُم بَعْضاً سُخْرِيّاً وَرَحْمَتُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ

43.32. Serait-ce à eux de distribuer la miséricorde de ton Seigneur? Non ! C'est Nous qui répartissons entre eux leurs moyens d'existence en ce monde et qui les élevons les uns au-dessus des autres de quelques degrés, afin qu'ils se portent mutuellement assistance. Cependant, la miséricorde de ton Seigneur vaut mieux que tous les biens qu'ils amassent.

43.32 . Is it they who apportion their Lord ' s mercy? We have apportioned among them their livelihood in the life of the world , and raised some of them above others in rank that some of them may take labor from others ; and the mercy of thy Lord is better than ( the wealth ) that they amass .

43.32. Ahum yaqsimoona rahmata rabbika nahnu qasamna baynahum maAAeeshatahum fee alhayati alddunya warafaAAna baAAdahum fawqa baAAdin darajatin liyattakhitha baAAduhum baAAdan sukhriyyan warahmatu rabbika khayrun mimma yajmaAAoona

43.33.وَلَوْلَا أَن يَكُونَ النَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً لَجَعَلْنَا لِمَن يَكْفُرُ بِالرَّحْمَنِ لِبُيُوتِهِمْ سُقُفاً مِّن فَضَّةٍ وَمَعَارِجَ عَلَيْهَا يَظْهَرُونَ

43.33. S'il n'était pas à craindre que l'humanité ne forme une seule communauté d'impies, Nous aurions pourvu les maisons de ceux qui ne croient pas au Miséricordieux de toits d'argent, avec des escaliers pour y accéder,

43.33 . And were it not that mankind would have become one community , We might well have appointed , for those who disbelieve in the Beneficent , roofs of silver for their houses and stairs ( of silver ) whereby to mount ,

43.33. Walawla an yakoona alnnasu ommatan wahidatan lajaAAalna liman yakfuru bialrrahmani libuyootihim suqufan min fiddatin wamaAAarija AAalayha yathharoona

43.34.وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ أَبْوَاباً وَسُرُراً عَلَيْهَا يَتَّكِؤُونَ

43.34. de portes et de lits pour qu'ils puissent s'y reposer,

43.34 . And for their houses doors ( of silver ) and couches of silver whereon to recline ,

43.34. Walibuyootihim abwaban wasururan AAalayha yattaki-oona

43.35.وَزُخْرُفاً وَإِن كُلُّ ذَلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةُ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

43.35. et Nous aurions couvert le tout d'ornements dorés. Mais tout cela n'aurait été qu'une jouissance éphémère d'ici-bas, car, pour ton Seigneur, la vraie vie est celle qui est dans la vie future et qu'Il réserve à ceux qui Le craignent.

43.35 . And ornaments of gold . Yet all that would have been but a provision of the life of the world . And the Hereafter with your Lord would have been for those who keep from evil .

43.35. Wazukhrufan wa-in kullu thalika lamma mataAAu alhayati alddunya waal-akhiratu AAinda rabbika lilmuttaqeena
