743 Moroccans living abroad participated in a survey conducted by C&O Marketing in partnership with Yabiladi. 8 Moroccans living abroad out of 10 had initially planned summer vacations in Morocco before the pandemic. Despite the health crisis, 54% of them still hope to come to Morocco in the coming weeks when the borders are reopened.
Moroccans studying abroad have found themselves unable to get by amid the global health crisis. Unable to pay rent and food, some of them are faced with homelessness.
Despite its efforts, Morocco is urged to do more in order to eliminate human trafficking. The country is part of the Tier 2 category, which includes governments that do not fully comply with a TVPA’s minimum standards, but are making significant efforts to bring themselves into compliance with those standards.
