Morocco extends state of health emergency until November 10

The Council of Government, convened Thursday in Rabat, decided to extend the state of health emergency until November 10 to avoid the spread of the new coronavirus (Covid-19).

«The draft decree, presented by the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, aims to extend the duration of the state of health emergency throughout the national territory from Saturday October 10 at 6 pm to Tuesday November 10 at 6 pm», a press release announced.

The state of health emergency was first declared in March when the pandemic started. It has been extended for several months ever since.
