2,929 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 142,953.
2,133 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 120,275.
47 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 2,486. 16 of these deaths were registered in the region of Casablanca-Settat, 8 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 5 in the Oriental, 4 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 4 in Drâa-Tafilalet, 4 in Marrakech-Safi, 2 in Fès-Meknes, 2 in Guelmim-Oued Noun, one death in Souss-Massa and another in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima.
The country has 20,192 active cases, including 440 in critical conditions. 37 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat comes first, with 1,522 cases: 1,114 in Casablanca, 85 in Nouaceur, 79 in Settat, 78 in Berrechid, 64 in Mohammedia, 64 in El Jadida , 17 in Sidi Bennour, 12 in Mediouna and 9 cases in Benslimane.
Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, with 366 cases: 90 in Skhirat-Témara, 58 in Rabat, 56 in Kénitra, 54 in Sidi Kacem, 51 in Khemisset, 49 in Salé and 8 cases in Sidi Slimane.
Marrakech-Safi follows with 219 new infections: 119 in Marrakech, 28 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 25 in Rhamna, 13 in El Haouz, 13 in Essaouira, 9 in Safi, 7 in Chichaoua and 5 cases in Youssoufia. 207 new cases were confirmed in Souss-Massa: 139 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 49 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 8 in Chtouka-Ait Baha, 6 in Taroudant, 4 in Tiznit and one case in Tata .
Draâ-Tafilalet recorded 131 new infections: 54 in Errachidia, 27 in Ouarzazate, 22 in Tinghir, 17 in Midelt and 11 cases in Zagora. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima confirmed 122 new cases: 42 in Tanger-Assilah, 38 in Tétouan, 11 in Larache, 11 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 10 in Al Hoceima, 6 in Chefchaouen and 4 in Ouazzane.
118 cases were recorded in Béni Mellal-Khénifra (44 in Khouribga, 32 in Fqih Bensaleh, 31 in Beni Mellal and 11 in Khénifra), 114 confirmed infections in the Oriental region (66 in Oujda-Angad, 34 in Nador, 5 in Taourirt, 5 in Berkane, 2 cases in Guercif and two others in Jerada) and 76 confirmed cases in Fès-Meknes (24 in Taza, 13 in Meknes, 10 in Taounate, 9 in Fès, 8 in Sefrou, 7 in El Hajeb and 5 cases in Ifrane).
In the southern provinces, Guelmim-Oued Noun recorded 22 new infections (12 in Guelmim and 10 in Sidi Ifni), 17 new cases have been confirmed in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab while 15 were recorded in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (11 in Laâyoune, 3 in Es-Smara and one case in Boujdour).
