Moroccan international footballer Achraf Hakimi has tested positive for the coronavirus, his club announced on Wednesday.
The footballer, who plays as a fullback for Serie A club Inter Milan and the Morocco national team, underwent a coronavirus test that confirmed his infection, the Italian club wrote on its Twitter account.

According to football news website Goal, Achraf Hakimi is asymptomatic and will have to follow the health protocol adopted by the team. The Moroccan player tested positive for coronavirus hours before Inter Milan’s Champions League group stage opener at home to Borussia Monchengladbach.
Hakimi, who joined the Italian club as part of the 2020 summer transfer, is the seventh Inter Milan player to have tested positive for COVID-19.
