A security guard at the French consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, was stabbed on Thursday, October 29.
The alleged perpetrator, a Saudi national, was arrested shortly after the incident. According to the embassy, the victim's life «is not in danger», Franceinfo reports.
«The French Embassy strongly condemns this attack on a diplomatic hold that nothing can justify».
The French Embassy in Saudi Arabia «assures the victim of its full support and expresses its confidence in the Saudi authorities to shed light on this attack and ensure the security of the French interests and the French community in the country», the Embassy’s communiqué reads.

This attack in Saudi Arabia comes after the two knife attacks in Nice and Avignon in France. This Thursday, October 29 is the day of Eid Mawlid Annabaoui (commemoration of the birth of Prophet Mohammed).
