4,596 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 256,781.
75 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 4,272. 18 of these deaths were recorded in the region of Casablanca-Settat, 11 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 10 in Souss-Massa, 8 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma, 6 in the Oriental, 6 in Marrakech-Safi, 6 in Fès-Meknes, 4 in Béni Mellal-Khénifra, 4 in Guelmim-Oued Noun and 2 in Drâa-Tafilalet.
The country has 42,708 active cases, including 933 in critical conditions. 73 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat comes first, with 1,563 cases: 1,222 in Casablanca, 72 in Nouaceur, 64 in El Jadida, 46 in Mohammedia, 43 in Médiouna, 39 in Benslimane , 31 in Settat, 29 in Berrechid and 17 in Sidi Bennour. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, with 1,192 cases: 494 in Salé, 352 in Kénitra, 168 in Skhirat-Témara, 95 in Rabat, 55 in Sidi Kacem, 23 in Khemisset and 5 in Sidi Slimane.
Souss-Massa recorded 400 cases: 210 in Agadir Ida Ou Tanane, 76 in Taroudant, 60 in Inezgane Aït Melloul, 39 in Tiznit and 15 in Chtouka Aït Baha. Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma follows with 375 infections: 117 in Tanger-Assilah, 92 in Tetouan, 60 in Al Hoceïma, 56 in M'diq-Fnideq, 30 in Larache, 16 in Ouezzane and 4 in Chefchaouen.
The Oriental region follows with 280 cases: 92 in Oujda-Angad, 62 in Taourirt, 43 in Guercif, 35 in Figuig, 30 in Berkane, 14 in Nador, 2 in Jerada and 2 in Driouch. Marrakech-Safi recorded 268 new cases: 129 in Marrakech, 44 in Essaouira, 25 in Youssoufia, 22 in Chichaoua, 22 in Rhamna, 16 in Kelâa des Sraghna, 4 in Safi and 3 in El Haouz.
The Drâa-Tafilalet region recorded 109 new infections: 39 in Midelt, 30 in Errachidia, 16 in Tinghir, 14 in Zagora and 10 in Ouarzazate. Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab confirmed 106 infections, all in Oued Ed Dahab. Fès-Meknes recorded 102 cases: 31 in Taza, 29 in Fez, 14 in Sefrou, 12 in Taounate, 11 in Meknes, 3 in Boulemane and 2 in El Hajeb.
In Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 73 cases were confirmed: 31 in Khouribga, 17 in Azilal, 14 in Béni Mellal, 10 in Khénifra and 1 in Fqih Bensalah. Guelmim-Oued Noun recorded 67 infections: 55 in Guelmim, 10 in Sidi Ifni and 2 in Assa Zag.
Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra recorded 61 new cases: 58 in Laâyoune, 2 in Boujdour and 1 in Tarfaya.
