3,012 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 296,189.
4,761new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 243,359.
71 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 4,850. 19 of these deaths were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 13 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 8 in the Oriental, 8 in Fès-Meknès, 7 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 6 in Marrakech-Safi, 4 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 3 in Souss-Massa, 2 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra and 1 death in Drâa-Tafilalet.
The country has 47,980 active cases, including 1,048 in critical conditions. 94 of them are on ventilators.
The Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region recorded 875 new cases: 314 in Kénitra, 221 in Skhirat-Témara, 124 in Salé, 121 in Rabat, 63 in Sidi Kacem, 30 in Khemisset and 2 cases in Sidi Slimane. Then comes Casablanca-Settat, with 630 infections: 560 in Casablanca, 26 in Nouaceur, 18 in Mohammedia, 7 in El Jadida, 6 in Benslimane, 6 in Settat, 4 in Mediouna and 3 cases in Berrechid.
The Oriental region follows with 366 cases: 81 Oujda-Angad, 70 in Berkane, 51 in Jerada, 48 in Driouch, 47 in Taourirt, 40 in Nador and 29 cases in Guercif. 342 infections were confirmed in Souss-Massa: 128 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 97 in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 68 in Taroudant, 25 in Chtouka-Ait Baha and 24 cases in Tata.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima recorded 303 new cases: 99 in Tetouan, 79 in Tanger-Assilah, 55 in M'Diq-Fnideq, 37 in Chefchaouen, 21 in Al Hoceima, 11 in Ouazzane and 1 case in Fahs Anjra. Marrakech-Safi recorded 174 new infections: 98 in Marrakech, 30 in Essaouira, 19 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 12 in Chichaoua, 7 in Youssoufia, 6 in the province of Rhamna, 1 case in Safi and another one in Al Haouz province.
Fès-Meknes recorded 153 new infections: 41 in Taza, 31 in Fès, 24 in Sefrou, 19 in Taounate, 15 in Boulmane, 13 in Meknes and 10 cases in Ifrane.
76 confirmed cases were found in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (31 in Beni Mellal, 23 in Khouribga, 14 in Azilal and 8 cases in Khénifra) and 62 in Drâa-Tafilalet (24 in Midelt, 21 in Errachidia, 7 in Ouarzazate, 6 in Tinghir and 4 cases in Zagora).
In the southern provinces, 28 cases were confirmed in the province of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) while 3 new infections were recorded in Guelmim (Guelmim-Oued Noun).
