3,979 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 324,941.
3,746 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries to 270,457.
60 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 5,316. 14 of these deaths were registered in the region of Casablanca-Settat, 11 in Souss-Massa, 9 in the Oriental, 7 in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma, 6 in Marrakech-Safi, 4 in Drâa-Tafilalet, 2 in Fès-Meknes, 3 in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, 3 in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 1 in Guelmim-Oued Noun.
The country has 49,168 active cases, including 996 in critical conditions. 95 of them are on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat comes first, with 1,157 cases: 795 in Casablanca, 104 in Berrechid, 64 in Mohammedia, 56 in El Jadida, 44 in Settat, 38 in Médiouna, 15 in Nouaceur and 24 in Benslimane. Then comes Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, with 757 cases: 314 in Kénitra, 156 in Skhirat-Témara, 124 in Rabat, 115 in Sale, 37 in Khémisset, 7 in Sidi Slimane and 4 in Sidi Kacem.
Souss-Massa has for its part 581 cases: 252 in Agadir Ida Ou Tanane, 162 in Chtouka Aït Baha, 60 in Tata, 53 in Taroudant, 39 in Inezgane Aït Melloul and 15 in Tiznit. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma follows with 491 infections in 24 hours: 140 in Tetouan, 129 in Tanger-Assilah, 63 in Larache, 55 in Al Hoceïma, 52 in M'diq-Fnideq, 35 in Ouezzane, 16 in Chefchaouen and 1 at Al Fahs Anjra.
The Oriental region follows with 282 cases: 123 in Berkane, 100 in Oujda-Angad, 20 in Taourirt, 16 in Figuig, 10 in Nador, 10 in Jerada and 3 in Driouch. Marrakech-Safi recorded 212 new cases: 157 in Marrakech, 19 in Kelâa des Sraghna, 13 in Essaouira, 8 in Chichaoua, 6 in Youssoufia, 4 in Rehamna, 3 in Safi and 2 in Al Haouz.
Guelmim-Oued Noun recorded 146 cases: 117 in Guelmim, 24 in Tan Tan and 5 in Sidi Ifni. Laâyoune-Es Sakia El Hamra, for its part, confirmed 96 cases: 93 in Laâyoune and 3 in Boujdour. In Drâa-Tafilalet, 88 were confirmed: 34 in Errachidia, 19 in Midelt, 16 in Ouarzazate, 13 in Tinghir and 1 in Zagora.
Fès-Meknes recorded 79 cases: 43 in Fez, 11 in Meknes, 8 in Sefrou, 8 in Ifrane, 4 in Boulemane, 2 in El Hajeb, 2 in Moulay Yacoub and 1 in Taounate.
Beni Mellal-Khénifra for its part counted 56 new infections: 34 in Khouribga, 11 in Fqih Bensalah, 10 in Beni Mellal and 1 in Khénifra. Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab recorded 34 new cases, all in Oued Ed-Dahab.
